Sakurai Futamigaura’s Couple Stones
It takes approximately 28 mins from Global MIRAI by car, and it is a famous sightseeing spot located on the coast of Shimasakurai, Itoshima City, which has been selected as one of the “100 best beaches in Japan” and “100 best sunsets in Japan.” Many tourists visit this place and the beautiful sunset especially has favorable reputations.
It is called “Couple Stones” because you can see the two rocks lined up like a married couple beyond the white torii gate.
The two rocks are 11.2 meters and 11.8 meters tall, respectively, and a 30-meter rope weighing 1 ton is hung between them. You can see the two rocks on the long sandy beach, so it is a perfect spot for a stroll, too.
If you come to Itoshima, this is a place you should definitely stop by.
On the coastline, there are a lot of fashionable cafes and photo spots♪ You can take many memorable pictures!
There is a free parking lot within a 1-min walk. (Approximately 47cars)
